LOVE IT

watched a news report this morning about prop 19 and the people who are against it and for it. they focused on two people - Ron Allen(anti-prop 19), a Californian bishop and former crack-smoker, and Alice Huffman(pro-prop 19), California’s leader of the NAACP.

My mom, although she doesn’t like pot and usually makes me turn off shows about it when I’m watching them, watched this news report with me. She was suprised when they said that black people were up to 7 times more likely than white people to be arrested for pot possession, yet statistics proved that more white people smoke pot than black people. This is part of the reason that Alice Huffman is endorsing prop 19, because it’s very unfairly hurting her community. She’s a very educated and bright woman, I admire her.
